Now or Never!

I've been persistent-
And perhaps insistent.
But all you've given are noes
Treating me like I'm ally to your foes

So many poems have I written
To prove that of your love I am befitting
I ain't a pet; I ain't a kitten
But in your bosom I want to be sitting

Already I've tried to show
That my love is not shallow
What else must I do
So you'll know my love is true?

Still I don't seem to be making a difference-
That must be the reason for your indifference.
But how do I penetrate into your heart
So we'll no longer be apart?

I LOVE YOU
And I'm saying that the umpteenth time
My love is durable and true-
With it Mt. Everest one can climb

I've waited and waited
Such that by now my love you must have rated
If loved me you have ever
Say 'Yes' NOW-or NEVER!
