Nuclear Winter Poem by Yewande Adedokun

Nuclear Winter

I know what it means
A head full of madness
Where love turns into hate
No science or religion can fill up the hole
A desperate need to love and to hold
But we all need to be where we belong

Please save your soul
I know it is a dark canvass
But let us both fly high, let me go
It will take a little bit of getting used to
Life will get better
If you find the love God gave you
You are God's own, so, too big for me
But I know what is best for you
Please let me go
