O Come Emmanuel © Poem by Roann Mendriq

O Come Emmanuel ©

In mellow meditation,
In silent solitude;
In quiet contemplation,
In a peaceful pensive mood.

I sit beneath a lonely star,
and wait to hear His voice;
In anticipation of a higher power,
I feel my quiet heart rejoice.

Like a beacon in a darkness,
Yearning for my reward;
I turn towards the stillness,
and know that He is God.
