O Northern Wind Poem by Peter S. Quinn

O Northern Wind

O northern wind
lay low this spring,
days have rescind
the cold you sing.

Come here summer
in days of green,
with breezy strummer
and hours between.

We love someone
and that's so true,
but then it's gone
into the blue.

Without any reason
just gone away,
like times and season
that cannot stay.

Oh northern plays
of breezing blow,
through lonely days
that never go.

Now come spring
with sunny ways,
and days that sing
in its redden lays.
