O' wise man sage, pray tell, what do you see?
With eyes as dark as ebony or blackest coals,
Can you see much more than me?
I heard you could venture the future,
And I'm appalled I have to ask,
But I really, really need to know -
Can you also see the past?
O' wise man sage, pray tell, what do you hear?
For they say that you are a silent man,
Does that mean you don't speak hither?
I heard that once you spoke in echoes,
So I'm ashamed I have to ask,
But really, really, I have to know,
Can you also hear the past?
O' wise man sage, heart is heavy as lead, pray tell -

Do you feel the sun burn on your skin?
Can you sense the weight of another man's sin?
I'm saddened that, I have to ask,
But I really, really have to get you to tell -
Do you know the truth about heaven and hell?
O' wise man sage, I fall on my knees for you,
My soul is heavy with the desire for truth,
And still I await some answers to discern,
Yet, I believe that you have taught me,
The most important lesson first,
Wise questions are merely knowledges thirst...
