Obtaining Hope Poem by jodde taylor

Obtaining Hope

Marching across the night,
in between the grey and green
a grass hopper whistles
a serenade of hope;

Where stillness,
finds retire by the clickety clack!
ashes leave in a train
an empty vessel remains;

Chorus sweeps an old wooden floor,
a single year of snow fell
inside the walls down through the halls
still just a stepping stone;

Bridges firing a pale moonlight,
we stood to see the sights
everything shared, given in blue hush
at beauty despaired;

A city chiseled in wounds,
laying ancient, to met life again
voyages taken with slow breaths
holding onto summer,
we swam with consequential tides;

Drying the sound of night,
gentle little chirps
bring daffodils to rest
flooding an empty room;

A masterful scene so clear,
smearing lipstick
taken away notions,
of philosophical admissions;

Obtaining every sound,
the movements of hope
sway through the trees
teasing the breeze, running toward heaven
the night train rains again,
clickety clack! rolling along
we moved too strongly!
but there was hope;
