This melody
Takes me
To days when I hung my hopes
On the ocean
So grand and full of possibilities -
Infinite.
But I forgot
Its ever-changing tide
Its waves crashing harshly
Against the shore
What a fool I was,
Trying to grasp this ocean
In my cupped hands
But I remember
When
The water
Smiled
