Ocean Evening Poem by Josephine Dunn

Ocean Evening

Rating: 1.0

Can we not run softly
Hand in hand
And as the sleeping waters
Gently break
Upon the sands
Embrace
And promise with a kiss
To stay forever
In this bliss
That we have wrought
With silent words.
Let us run swiftly
Into the sea
While endless waves
Beat time
Upon the shore
Then hold each other
As the sun sinks
Slowly down
And hope that we
May be together
Evermore.
