Ocean's Memory Poem by ShellyBean Stanowski

Ocean's Memory

Rating: 5.0

I am mesmerized by my tears
as they wear away the seams
holding back the waves of you
shores endless foaming dreams

The moon pulls the tides memories
from deep within my undertow
Sifting the sands of emotion
draining my abyss from below

Frothy fantasies float atop
peaceful surface starts drifting
Rip tides bursting with sensations
my own misery keeps shifting

A solitary ship is tossed
within my perfect stormy sea
This tiny vessel that I've flipped
floating no matter how I plea

Years of momentum grows inside
a strength and substance that prevails
Many times I've searched for love
yet washed out to sea with no avail

At times I feel it's anchor dragging
the bottom of my infinite ocean
I draw a deep breath to survive
insanity's shore of emotion
