Ocean Veiw Poem by Kathlyn Grace

You're like the ocean waves
you come and look beautiful
making me run nearer with every movement
knowing the deeper I go
the harder it will be to swim back out

You come in and I ride the wave
I take you in
and you lift me higher then I have ever known
I feel like a bird
blending in with the white clouds and dropletts of rain


I'm on top of the world
riding your wave
and then you hit
and I fall
and I know I can't pick myself back up until another wave comes for me

That's what happens
because you're just another ocean
I can always count on the waves to crash and leave me stranded
