Ode To A Huntress Moon Poem by Jose Armando Guzman

Ode To A Huntress Moon

I can still recall the cold air as it breezes
by those memories held inside
for so many years.
I wonder if the ground appreciates
the most beautiful soul that was put six feet down.
So many questions unanswered and so many more left.
I try to wonder what your last breath was like,
the final thought in your heart
as you made the choice to take your curtain call.
You were such a beautiful angel in this world of darkness,
but now ten years, falls have crossed these paths
and I still feel the weight of your casket in my arms
taking you to your final resting place.
Your name is a prayer to the empty midnight
and you always shined so bright in the sky.
My amazing friend the years fade
and as the seasons change
I still remember your name.
You chose to end it all.
That's what they say. I guess I will never know,
but sometimes certain things remind me
of a being so bright with future
that took a swan dive into the darkness of my heart.
