Ode To The Cheese Poem by Matthew Holloway

Ode To The Cheese

Rating: 5.0

What better way to pass a night
than with cheese and wine
a board of selective best
taste the Gloucester red
a Brie or Camembert
be it a Goats or Chedder
Gouda, Stilton or Cornish Blue
some come baked others smoked
some taste of herbs, garic or fruit
chilli and chocolate so many I've heard
and known the pleasure to taste
fill my glass and line my plate
for tonight I shall dine
on cheese and wine

The title made me laugh! A lovely poem, the first one I read about cheese.
