As the new year stands on the threshold
And as we leave the old year in the cold,
New hope and expectations rear their head
Like flowers that bloom from nondescript buds.
They greet us, cheer us and prod us on
With a promise to sing us a song-
So, take the rein and the stirrup
Hurrah, hi-ho, a winding road lies ahead!
This road may not be arrayed with flowers
We may have to face the elements and bad weather-
Hi-ho, hi-ho, the New Year is on hand
The calendar has changed as if by a magical wand!
The new year has dawned and we have set out on a fresh journey! The road may be winding and our path may not be arrayed with flowers. Still let us move forward with hope! A beautiful New Year poem! A 10
