Ode To The Worm Poem by Sonya Florentino

Ode To The Worm

Rating: 5.0

(with thanks to Mifael for reminding me that the worm
can be beautiful)

He has wormed his way into my heart

He has leached into my sorrow

He has made it flow again my blood

When he whispered tomorrow

He has burrowed his way into my heart

He has nestled in my soul

He loves me... and I love him

for he never let go

nice one, only seemed like you were perhaps talking about a leach instead of a worm, though there are probably some parasitic worm that does these things. Anyway, good imagery. My favorite lines are: 'He has burrowed his way into my heart He has nestled in my soul'

Worms can be very friendly it seems and very comforting to have around. Come to think of it, in reality, if we didn't have worms in our gardens, they wouldn't be as fine. A brilliant take on love and well thought out. An interesting read, thankyou. Ruth: -)
