Oeuvre Poem by Scott Mitchell

Oeuvre

A once inspired soul
clenching
Pulling back all hopes
excruciating consent
Never again
to believe
~
But, your splendor and smile
all that you are inside
It's original and it's more
than I've had before
~
Can you keep faith
as our souls bathe
In a vast green sea
of hopeful mystery
Motivated passion
looming behind my eyes
~
Previous cautions
I depart from now
Toss all cares
to the morning breeze
Exit the shallow
into the deep
Into boundless surety
~
Your vibrant mind arouses
me to love you more
Our inspired art we make
unique shades of paint
More than a treasure to hold
an alliance never old
~
Like a great adventure
my desires exploring softly
An exquisite body
you've given to me
Your pleasant embrace
inwardly as we love
A tonic for my desire
as I release what you inspire
A pinnacle conclusion
hearing you breathe
~
Moments of shared laughs
are remedy for my needs, but
my greatest lust achieved
the moment before we sleep
Heads rested on plush clouds
eyes gaze into allied dreams
Thanking each other
with endearing grins
~
