Lies...
With in makeshift masks
On multicolored face false
Lies a rueful grin
Promises...
Promises hot made
Turn to blocks cold hard to break
Fulfilled melt as ice
Prayers...
Between mind and lips
A cup of unfulfilled wants
Spills bitter and sweet

A very profound piece Ke, I particularly liked the second stanza, well done Lynda xx
This poem stands as a treatise on how to write poetry! Such profound concept told in few compelling words of authority...10+++++++++++++++Kudos to u Sir
Three different situations are packed in one short poem, with contradictions like bitter-sweet, hot-cold and so on. A nice work.
all the three were excellent..true..lies has a grin'''promises become hard..and promise is something between the mind and the lip
a theme which can be said everyday feelings...its true and simply good!
Your words pegged each of your titles very well. Your defining of lies, promises and prayers are greater than what the dictionary could label them as. Very nicely done.
I am not ususally a fan of haiku but you have made me like these alot. Great job!
reads great...i personally like few words...more depth
