Of Relationships Poem by Ragy Sandid

Of Relationships

Relationships are a dime a dozen
Spread more than a virus
If fizzles like soda, attracts like muffin
Calls everyone to be slave and boss

As air, water and sand are all around
Yet each taken in a different paces
So is love when a relationship is found
And so it is when it graces and disgraces

So begins the grandest illusion of all
And the people who wallow in the illusion
Isn't strange to connect love with a fall?
Then claim that what's next is a solution?

So two people make it work, others
Just work fighting bravely a reality
Set apart, are the ones who never bother
In their minds beautifully crafted is their frailty

Remove jealousy, envy and salted spite
Love's reflection just shines on water's stats and flow
When people just ignore poisoned pride
And claim the core of love is all they know

People stay together for the grand trickster
The abandonment issues and so on and so forth
But stay abandoned anyway, their heart in a twister
With cloaked cooks who spoil this broth

For it is not the items they share that makes the cut
It is the fact that they share each other body and soul
The look in their eyes tells it all but
It cant' be real love except when you ascend as you fall.
