Often I Think Of You Poem by dave lessard

Often I Think Of You

Rating: 0.5

Often I think of you -
in pleasure and in pain;
in drifting, passing thoughts,
with little or no gain.
When days were meant for wishing,
when time was once a friend;
when nights were never lonely,
and time knew not an end.
Often I think of you -
when an old song comes around;
when the memories were good,
when I wasn't lost, but found.
When the rainbow was of color -
when the moon was a lovely thing;
when I held you close to me,
and it caused my heart to sing.
Often I think of you,
when I hopelessly called you mine -
when as a fool in desperate love,
you were my only lifeline.
