Oh As He Hung There [song] Poem by norman hale

Oh As He Hung There [song]

in tune with father along

Oh as He hung there
Dying on the cross
His people was crying
At such a great loss

They stripped him of his dignity
They took away his pride
And yet He told them
He was going to the other side

CHORUS
[Oh as He hung there
With tear stained eyes
He prayed to the Father
To forgive the other guys

With nails drove in him
He knew what the cost
But He died for us all
Right there on the cross]

He cried 'Oh Father forgive them'
'They know not, what to do'
'Though I have tried my Father'
'They still don't know you'

Oh there He hung
With blood streaming down
So slowly He was bleading
With each dropp on the ground

REPEAT CHORUS
[Oh as He hung there
With tear stained eyes
He prayed to the Father
To forgive the other guys

With nails drove in him
He knew what the cost
But He died for us all
Right there on the cross]

He told His people
'Now don't you cry for me'
For I'll be right back'
'To be with you, you'll see'

'And don't you go off'
'Carrying any grudge'
'For our only Father '
'Shall be the final judge'

REPEAT CHORUS
[Oh as He hung there
With tear stained eyes
He prayed to the Father
To forgive the other guys

With nails drove in him
He knew what the cost
But He died for us all
Right there on the cross]

He healed so many people
With a touch of His hands
And crossed so many miles
Through those burning sands

Oh as He hung there
For all the world to see
From the manger to the cross
He was sent to save you and me

REPEAT CHORUS
[Oh as He hung there
With tear stained eyes
He prayed to the Father
To forgive the other guys

With nails drove in him
He knew what the cost
But He died for us all
Right there on the cross]
