Oh Garden Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Oh Garden

Oh Garden

Oh garden of mine
Where did you go?
I saw you yesterday
Clear but unknown.

Garden of mine
I knew you well.
Yesteryear where I would dwell.
I knew you so well.

But alas, I knew
That yesterday was not new.
It was not for me to dwell in.
Today was the special day.

Living in our nostalgic past may have its own charms but it is our today that is all important for us. Thank you, Vera.
