Oh merciful God!
Before You, I am
weak to the bone
imprisoned, humbled,
my body aches
my soul terrified
I am in pain.
I belong only to you
this distance I see
blinds this lonely soul
I am that I am only with You
I wish for you to touch me
to heal me,
I so seek to find myself in your embrace
Father please,
wash me,
empty me,
strike me.
set me aflame.
My Beloved,
I want nothing
that is not written
By Your Fire,
Take away all the sorrows of the world.
Cleanse the dirt
Purify the dark
Oh merciful Father
