And it took its first breath outside
Wailing and moving uneasily
From one arm to another

With a growing pain inside
I am standing alone on a precipice
A friend stood near me
And asked who made me so unhappy

There she lies on the bed
Like an invalid.
The room has no lights.
The small passages

How dearly I wish
I had a span of a day
Would live my whole life
And my own way.

I fail to recollect
Was I born with it?
Or was it gifted to me?
But I have worn it always.

After years of maturity
I took wearied steps towards the room,
To unlock that door.
The door that has been locked
...

I am a big sluggard
And lethargy runs in my blood
Not that I am deprived of power
But I take one step in an hour.

Sliding down

With a jolt, I opened my eyes
Am I still sliding? Sliding down.

It was descending before my eyes
The light shimmered with the waves
The ephemeral beauty of sunset
But what do I do with it?
