Old System Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Old System

Rating: 5.0

The sun has shined on horizon
As nation celebrates freedom
Not for the first time in history
But in anticipation of event by many

People have turned table
It has been proved as fruitful struggle
The country expected some change
As little bird is out of from cage

The bird may have freedom of free air
Not fully healthy environment but to look fair
It is wish and inner expectation
That builds bond and relation

Country has rejected old system
Divisive politics has to run away in turn
No cast and color may find place
The country may have good progress

The youth demands job and security
The country wants secured boundary and integrity
Who can guarantee such assurances?
Let us wish and expect some changes

The country and people may heave a sigh
There will be right to vote and try
Bring in any change that is needed
The direction of the wind has to respected
