Oliver Poem by Jack Turner

Oliver

Oliver bathes in the champagne sun, the whole world trundles by
Oliver lies in the chardonnay sun, the rest of the world passes by
Oh what a guy what a guy

Oliver waits down on Waterloo road he doesn’t care but he smiles
Oliver waits down on Waterloo road, he’ll not wait long but a while
Oh what a smile what a smile

Oliver laughs in the late hazy day, he’ll take you away where it’s nice
And his kisses will fall and his kiss will enthral
Oh what a vice what a vice

Oliver traces his love on your arm, he’ll marry you all if he can
Oliver traces his love on your lips
Oh what a man what a man

Oliver bathes in the late champagne sun, Oliver bathes in your joy
Oliver bathes in long happy days
Oh what a boy what a boy

Oliver lies in the chardonnay sun, the universe wanders on by
Oliver won’t even know who you are, he won’t even know you’re alive
He knows almost nothing, there’s nothing he don’t know
And he waits for his love down on Waterloo road, it’s Charlie, it’s bunny, it’s snow
Oliver waits in the honey dosed sun, your life and the world passes by
Oh what a guy

What A Guy
