On A Love Train Poem by Tosin Abegunde

On A Love Train

On a Love Train.

He that sits on the horse
With sheol storming his clause
Visits soon my tremble
Unless i demolish this temple
Would peace be restored
And my heart with joy restored.
For you came like a thief
Stealing far beyond the belief
To steal; To kill; and to destroy
What a contrast you employ.

Omoge Karile
Omidan Karile
Oro enu lo fi n wu mi
Aduma'adan aladitu ede omidan
To mi wo.

Oh damsel Karile!
In your eyes my comfort lay
The breathe of your nostril soothes
Like the breeze on balm that soothes
In your belly lies treasure
With strength no man can measure
Your words though bridled
Catapults brain well principled
Between your laps would i sleep
In fantasy my strength slip.

Omoge Karile
Omidan Karile
Oro enu lo fi n wumi
Aduma'adan aladitu ede omidan
To mi wo.

To some, you are defected
Here, strong admire and respected
The skin so black i admire
Even though friends bluntly fire
Upon my desire will i not repent
Till their pride relent
Now that my life seem to end
Your consent would it only mend
Lest in sepulchre i should cry
And my bones melt and even dry.

Omoge Karile
Omidan Karile
Oro enu lo fi n wu mi
Aduma'adan aladitu ede omidan
To mi mo.
