On Deaf Ears
As you sit here crying for me
It’s on deaf ears
I feel it’s not real
You’re not real
We’re not real
I’ve begged for you to prove it
I’ve screamed for you to love me
To make me know it
To make me feel it
But it too has fallen on deaf ears
We do not hear each other
We do not see each other
We’re numb to life
We’re numb to love
Too far apart from each other to see each other for who we are
