On Dreams That Castles Build Poem by Nitin Suresh

On Dreams That Castles Build

Where there were beautiful seashells
on dreams that castles build
forlorn evening or love shattered
stanza of unfinished poems on a beach

urban disasters of relationships
mockery of foundation of emotions
where it took rash moments to
break lives that never should have been

Parallel journeys of lives and goals
No more smiles and no more tears
Just wild ambitions of green wads
for that had markets to rear

a machine or a cog in a giant wheel
patience was a premium given to no soul
a mad chase a mad rush before
the towering meandering lashing wave

Summers could not enjoyed for the warm
for their were winters that came ever so frequent
every joy had to be for a cause
Every laughter a draft of unfinished business

A tinkering of cherubic child's smile
rainbow or a noise of chattering bird says
fragnance of mornings that enter homes
all a nature's foolhardy blemished ways

Somewhere as the Giant cog pauses for it had to do
adventure gone sour in the winters that passed
For summers had no time to strengthen
the Dreams that Castles build
