On Few Things 'Twould Seem Poem by Francis Duggan

On Few Things 'Twould Seem

On few things 'twould seem we do ever agree
The failure to you is a success to me
'Tis true one person's weed is another's rose
So few think on the same lines one would have to suppose
You voice your opinions and that suits me fine
But your political views are so different to mine
So little in common we do have to share
Though in the Human World that is not at all rare
We have different ideas on what is success
Those that you look up to me do not impress
We were friends years ago but apart we have grown
Like some do like to say 'tis each to their own
And now when we meet to each other we have little to say
Except in passing wish each other good day.
