On The Road To Damascus Poem by Jim Boone

On The Road To Damascus

417There's a tapestry
of conversations
one on one,
in a classroom,
with friends
and strangers

Physical encounters
that create
music and poetry
for the inspiration,
the inspired
and for listener
connections

Talk on line,
planned and impromptu;
by the firelight,
on a porch,
at a table,
on the street,
in passing,
light or perplexing
over the years,
in passing,
remembered or forgotten:

Stepping stones
and threads
that create
our human experience
on the road to Damascus,
into a darkness
or in wonder
of a blinding light.

Consider this,
and Amen.
