On The Streets Of Wonderland Poem by Madelene Calalo

On The Streets Of Wonderland

In a park near the streets of wonderland...
there was a prince sitting near a stand.

The prince was waiting...waiting for so long...
for something so tender but very strong.

He decided to walk on the streets of wonderland...
to find what he wanted and grab it with his hands.

While this was happening to the prince near the stand, , ,
A princess was waiting in a not so far away land.

This princess lived in a castle made of sand...
And it was beside the streets of wonderland.

The princess was so sad and wanted to go away...
because she wanted to be happy, jolly and gay.

She then started walking on the streets of wonderland
just like the prince who sat near the stand.

They were seeking for what they really wanted
and hoped that their wishes would be granted.

While they were walking on the streets of wonderland,
they both heard voices so sorrowful and sad.

The prince heard a scream
and the princess heard a cry...
They wanted to help
so they gave it a try.

They looked for the voices...
They looked everywhere...
They didn't find anyone
even if they looked here and there.

They were both running on the streets of wonderland...
Suddenly, the princess tripped and fell on the prince's hands.

The screams and cries turned into laughter
when the prince and princess met each other.

They then realized they found what they were looking for...
And they felt something they never felt before.

All they really wanted was a love so grand...
And that is what they found
on the streets of wonderland.
