On The Tarmac Poem by Benedict Wachira

On The Tarmac

The boy resisted like a man
The man crumbled like a child

Oh adversity,
You indeed know how to scratch off the veneer
and to expose the true nature of man
The coward, sell-out, selfish man

Adversity,
The truest teacher
