On This Very Morning Poem by Theorem The Truth Serum

On This Very Morning

Rating: 5.0

On this very morning

I can justify being late
I was locked in traffic
And I couldn't find any holes

I was smiling at the car right next to me
We understood each others pain
But neither of us were moving

On this very morning

I was drinking coffee
With the shine of a million red lights
And the sound of a thousand horns

On this very morning

I understood why I was single
As I looked in the car in front of me
The argument was intense

On this very morning
I was late
I'm sorry
Good-bye

Very funny one. I think it's a nice visual of you smiling at the car next to you. I like that. Sincerely, Mary
