Once Friends We'Ve Grown Apart Poem by Francis Duggan

Once Friends We'Ve Grown Apart

Rating: 1.0

Once friends we've grown apart the past has gone
But like 'tis said of life that life goes on
They have forged new friendships that does suit me fine
Their interests are so different to mine
I would not try to avoid them on a street
And we still would talk if by chance we did meet
Though in common with them I have little for to share
But that goes both ways of such I am aware
I do not dislike them in any way
We just drifted apart that would seem fair to say
They do lead very different lives to me
And we look at life one might say differently
Such close friends of mine but that was in the past
In life so few things ever seem to last.
