Once Heard-Now Remembered Poem by Edwina Reizer

Once Heard-Now Remembered

Light as a feather
she twirls, she spins
and that's before
the music begins.
The music's been playing.
It's not been heard.
But in her memory
her heart is stirred.
Since silence has come
all the music is done.
She relies on her past
when sounds were the sun.
In her head the tune's playing.
She feels it and starts swaying.
The sounds of the words
have all gone away.
But not the music,
it will always stay.
