Once Upon A Frozen Sun Poem by Courage Ghandih

Once Upon A Frozen Sun

Rating: 4.5

Days became colder and nights hotter
for the sun froze and the moon blazed like a coal
The light retreated from space to find sanctuary in the memories of remnant mortals inhabiting the lost sphere
Blood meandered through the paths where rivers and lakes once journeyed till they emptied themselves into a void where the waters of the seas once gathered
Corpses washed ashore the banks of the scarlet pool, decayed under a pale light in a dome invaded by wandering anomalies
Streams of fire sporadically gushed out from enormous chasms in the grounds created by fallen asteroids
Once upon a time there were rumored legends of Sirens in the skies;
'The accursed souls of the daughters of man that sinned with the sons of God, producing the ancient race of nephilim giants that punished the ancient Great Earth in its early recreation. These became accursed amongst womankind and banished into bonds in heights above paradise lost. Screaming and wailing incessantly with the cryings of Sirens till the end of days'.
Now their heartbreaking wailings reverberates through this foggy atmosphere
Today haunts us all and dark karma looms nigh with the awful clouds in these broken skies
The government went underground surrendering its authority to an advanced race of intelligent beings with a benign agenda who seemed to effectively use our technologies better than we did.
Eventually technology blurred the lines between reality and science fiction
In-between uneven intervals, apparitions of the unknown displayed in the heavens, according to the powers of Satan, deceptive signs spoken of in the past bible, plays like a movie on a screen-turned dome
Thus sore tribulations and advanced science existed side by side
My heart aches not because of the ongoing horrors but due to regrets of not believing and following in paths the Past Bible directed
The heart within my chest is hardened and crystallized by the rays of the frozen sun
For I find no corresponding passion within, to propel me through to change.
