I held you to my heart.
I allowed your touch.
But now I see,
That was all a mistake.
You took my heart
And ripped it away.
You took all my energy
And caused me more pain.
I let it all happen,
I told myself love hurts.
Living a lie,
Just to prove I really had worth.
Well now I know
I deserve so much more.
I shouldn't be broken inside,
Being struck to the floor.
Never again will you hurt me.
Never again will I cry.
For you are surely not worth it.
This time I'm able to look you in the eye.
I'm able to tell you
Just how much you've hurt me.
I will not be quiet,
I will tell the world what you've done.
For you taking over my life and my rights,
