One Big Noise

Your neighbours right and left of you
In front, and those behind
Not one; accepts your Christian view
So now, you think them blind

Perhaps it’s you! The way you live
The way you walk your walk
You say in Christ, you’ve much to give
To them, you’re only talk

They hear! You speak, of God above
They see your elegant poise
But lest your deeds are not of love
To them, you’re one big noise

It matters not how great our gift
What talent, we receive
The name of Christ, we need to lift
So others may believe

With grace, God’s word we must impart
Beware which seed we sow
If Jesus’ love’s not in the heart
How swift our neighbours know

What’s strange about God’s love to share?
What could in truth, be wrong?
Are Satan’s brood, not everywhere?
Teaching their master’s song?

Be not ashamed, to do the same
Nor fear, to turn the tide
Present your body, Jesus Flame
Help others join the bride

Let love pour forth through word and deed
Let love now open eyes
Let love destroy the devil’s weed
Let Jesus’ arm, arise
