One Day The Earth Will Open Up For My Brother On What Would Have Been His Seventy- Second Birthday Poem by Shalom Freedman

One Day The Earth Will Open Up For My Brother On What Would Have Been His Seventy- Second Birthday

One day the earth will open up
And take me also
As it has taken so many others I love

Dear Brother
Twenty years
Gone from this world
Will we ever see each other again?
I doubt it

As I walk home in the morning after davvaning
These leaves these flowers these trees
How I wish you could see them also.
