One Endless Night Poem by Fred Chamberlain

One Endless Night

a walk that lasted forever
am i being so cleaver
running away
why should i stay

one long endless night
only guided by the stars and the moonlight
up all night for a walk

cutting through fields
around streets
around trees
through woods

the only thing that keeps me sane in this night is music
my guitar
just these six strings
should i ever go back

one long endless night
only guided by the stars and the moonlight
my favourite time of day is midnight
i might do it again
