Not just every day is like this one
Set aside for smiles, love and fun
Celebrations for the body and mind
And a time to pause from time unkind

In the middle of the hectic lives we lead
As we work amidst the mirth and greed
I hope you get to take today
And ponder again those meaningful words that say

There is nobody anywhere quite like you
Whose heart is so rich and someone who
Can pale the sun with just a simple smile
Who shares, commits, loves and all the while

Gives more than ever she could possibly take
While for her cherished a special life she makes
Leader, lover, worker, partner, mother, friend
Whose heart I will cherish long past my own end
