One Global Nation Poem by Ray Lucero

One Global Nation

Rating: 5.0

Nothing gained of war, separation
Except dread, fear, angst, isolation
Helpful pursuit in such a situation
Admit we’re one big Global Nation

“We are Star Children harvesting Star Light”
(In memory of Carl Sagan 1934-1996)

I am sorry, but I disagree. We are not one globe, but we should still be able to be proud of being 'one nation, under God, Idivisible, with liberty and justice for all.' At one time America could hold up her head in pride at being a nation of freedom.. but no more! Becoming part of a global community has cost us too dearly.

It is very true we are one, but GREEDINESS can change some of us into a monster of killers and annihilators. nice poem, thanks!
