I suffered because I loved you
You suffered because I loved you
I left you, you suffered still
I came back, you suffered more
Suffer, suffer, seems we must
Together or apart, that's written
Love's suffering will chase us
Be it my love or your fate
Suffering will go from soul to soul
Distance won't matter, nor proximity
We are bound in suffering, not in love
So let's suffer together, as one soul.
So let's suffer together, as one soul. Very nice poem and loved the way it ended... Tilok Chand Mahroom ka ye shed yaad aa gaya hote hai.n KHush kisii kii sitam-raaniyon se ham vaqf-e-balaa hai.n apnii hii naadaaniyon se ham
Thanks for such a wonderful critique of an equally remarkable poem. Reference of Mahroom makes a great value addition.
We are bound in suffering, not in love So let's suffer together, as one soul. This is absolutely shocking, and unforeseen. Though the situation presents a substantial challenge to both the parties, it would be interesting for the readers to make their own analyses about its denouement. Thanks.
Suffering is the result of unsuccessful falling in love, they are so closest related, a very profound summing up to come to this final decision. I like this poem very much.TOP Marks and thank you for sharing this succinct poem
Your final two last lines: We are bound in suffering, not in love So let's suffer together, as one soul.. A true excellent decision, love-hate-sufferings are so closest to the soul, it does not matter which ones are chosen, love is encapsulated in the whole. Truly a masterpiece, dear Nosheen
I find your poem disturbing because in love there should not be such suffering. But I think anyone who has lived at all and love and let themselves be vulnerable has probably found themselves in such a situation. SO, as you can see my first read is that of a twisted love relationship where the feelings are intense but probably not healthy. Upon second reading, I see a poet writing about the human condition generally, not about the actual relationship itself. Well written and thought provoking.
Together or apart, that's written Love's suffering will chase us Be it my love or your fate.. These are so remarkable lines dear poetess. I loved them. ...We are bound in suffering, not in love So let's suffer together, as one soul. Nicely spelt, Great. Thanks for the poem.
This is just brilliant Nosheen. I remember having spent five years of my life being in love with a girl. She made me suffer more than anyone or anything in the world.. Even now when I have long let go of her, sometimes I feel forlorn thinking about a love that wasn't.. Maybe, maybe, if only we could have realised that we were meant to suffer - together or alone, we would have had a different life.. So few, in love, get this reality.. I didn't until I turned 24.. Thank you for sharing.

A painful relationship nicely put on.....in form of a masterpiece poem, suffering is part of Love and Hate both.
