One Night In Rain Poem by Vinoop Fredy

One Night In Rain

On that very night, the air was calm around me.
Even the nightmarish thoughts were enjoying -
the prominent tranquil of the less starry night.
Hastily dark clouds roofed like a highwayman.
His sword moved piercing the dark silence to tapping.
And the nippy beetle started crawling up to my toe and
Lifting me above wood to show valleys of magnificence.

The chilled flush of water below my feet was rich,
Rich with the knock of paper boats, playful foot touch
Whispers of creepy-crawly beings, Love of roots,
Heavy fragrance of the woodlands and of my Love.
Like a drowning child, I looked at the world
Colors were still bright like a great painting.
Like all the glass menageries I too was dissolving
Into the deeper colors of Zeus’s senses of color.
But all in shades of Black …………………….

Drenched in rain I walked into the murky dusk,
Till I reach the darker corners of the streets in town.
Rain was bitter there than my frozen thoughts.
Around the bowl crawled up were the old in dark,
Clasped, dry bowls spoke the legend of empty bellies.
The childhood slept as if no rain no cold, I thought.
It was dreams that served their craving, I didn’t know.
