    like so many impulsive acts, the 'anticipation and hope' (kind of ironic that one can anticipate an impulsive act) fades with the reality of attainment.
    And what is left, but a few fond memories (that can easily be spoiled upon deeper reflection) and that nagging wonder about seeing them again.
