One Of These Nights Poem by Justin Gildow

One Of These Nights

One of these nights
I'll light all my candles
While reading poetry in my apartment
As well as adding a mystical fragrance from some kind of rare incense

One of these nights
I'll notice the vehicles that race up and down the highway
While having to deal with flanging hiss and wind blown noise
As well as looking down from my balcony and spy on a boy and a girl
As they murmur to each other
They choose to dance with one another
And they choose to fall in love

One of these nights
I'll look forward to the time where I'll be worry free
When stress will be long gone from my life
Until then, even though my life's not perfect
I'll do the best I can
Even if all I have with me are my poetry book and a soda can tonight

It's just one of these nights
