One Rainy Night Poem by Heather Burns

One Rainy Night

One night
the sky began
to darken
thunder crashed
lightening
flashed
the wind blew
violently
disturbing the
calm.

Within a heart
was being
twisted
tearing apart
too many clouds
too much rain
had fallen
a connection
was breaking up
not to be
repaired again.

When the sun
finally appeared
it was late
the damage had
already taken
place
No, nothing would
ever be the same.

Wonderful life lesson. We don't value important people in our life until they are gone
