One Request Poem by Char Pattrick

I will be waiting for you to hear

Year after each and every year

But how will you show your fear

Tear after each and every tear

To be left behind all alone

Standing here on my own

Because I will not be afraid

I will not have stayed

Every angel hold my hand

As before you all I stand

I know one day I will be there

So I look scared, shiver and stare

You will never ever let me fall

Bracing and hoping, hear my call

Leave me here, til my time is gone

Burn a candle and remember the fun

The door will not yet come to close

Peace and rest, is what I have chose

Grant me this one prayer, one request

My life is mine to fulfil but one quest

My dreams have not yet come true

I want more out of life yet someday too

I cant show you all how I will be

Only show you all that I can see

Dream with me, hold on so tight

Because as of yet it is still a dark night

Here comes yet another beautiful day

Let me be, let me rest and here I stay
