One Right Step Poem by Adam Smitherman

One Right Step

Rating: 5.0

I can still remember my darkest days.
Watching the black return as the brightness fades.
Now I'm in the light and that shall remain.
All I feel is love.
There is no more pain.
Now that I'm older.
There is no hate.
Time to get out and see what I can make.
This smile is real.
It is no longer fake.
I finally realized that the world is mine to take.

No more heartaches.
I have learned from my mistakes.
One right step is all it takes.

I forgot the hard times and looked towards the future.
Where will I be if I continue this torture.
It may be hard to believe.
But if you listen to me.
One right step is all you need.

Really like this, I myself have walked on the dark side, so I know how you feel. A fantastic poem. May i invite you to read my new poem called, A Single Blade Of Grass.
