One Second Poem by Thistle Wargul

One Second

One second, muck around,
The next then you’re on the ground.
Your friend’s right on top of you
About to slice your head in two.
The crowd going, wild and cheers,
And throwing rotten fruit and jeers.
The whole world has gone insane,
And no one seems to have a brain!

One fight, there’s more, there’s more,
One small riot, now it’s war.
First a gun, and now a bomb,
Artillery’s become aplomb.
Hippies stand up and complain,
Life’s just a bore and not a game.
The whole world has gone insane,
And no one seems to have a brain!

That’s what life’s like baby,
It’s all trouble maybe,
The birds are so deafening,
The cows are a menacing,
My head feels like it’s just gonna explode!

Flying pigs are in the air,
Hawks are digging, I don’t care.
Policemen are jaz dancing,
To crazy homicidal bling.
A truck has been crowned the queen,
Her robe made of slimy spleen.
The whole world has gone insane,
And no one seems to have a brain!

The sun’s turned to salty quartz,
Ugly pink, covered in warts.
My TV’s dancing to the beat,
The aerial jumps off the seat.
Wind sculpturing the clouds,
Then covers them in dirty shrouds.
The whole world’s gone insane,
And no one seems to have a brain.

That’s what life’s like baby,
It’s all trouble maybe,
The birds are so deafening,
The cows are a menacing,
My head feels like it’s just gonna explode!

Thus the day draws to an end,
My crazy words are truly spent.
Tomorrow a new song begins….
