No one can save me from this fight
They can only say 'It's going to be alright'
They can't throw the punch or swing the kick
Only I can break through this wall of brick

No one can rescue me from this hole
The can only lend me the long pole
They can't pull me up or dig me out
Only I can climb up and over this mount

No one can free me from this chain
They can only soothe the upcoming pain
They can't break the links or pick the lock
Only I can turn the key connecting the chain to the rock

No one can protect me from this nightmare
They can only hold me within their comforting care
They can't wake me up or take away the fears
Only I can stand against the darkness that appears

No one can help me from this maze
They can only clear the thick haze
They can't draw a map or point the way
Only I can find the path where the exit lay
